The ceremony commissioned by the 422nd Air Base Squadron / Security Force enabled us to share in the prayers and support for the victims of last years 9/11 terrorist attacks in America. The band was honored to be part of the parade and ceremony. Robert Sands Junior played his own solo whilst the flags of both countries were removed.

One retired officer stated, "The pipes & drums were a class act. It was the best formal military retreat ceremony that I have ever seen."

Whilst on the base, the hospitality we received from all the staff was "second to none" and we would like to thank the Base Commander and his staff particularly Captain "Woody" Boyd, Sergeant Pete Nusspickel and Paula Poole for making our stay truly welcome.
